The Ultimate Ford Maintenance Schedule

December 23, 2022

Daves Auto wants to share with you the ultimate Ford maintenance schedule. Maintenance always matters especially these days when people invest a lot of money into their sedans, SUVs, trucks, and crossovers.

Vehicle maintenance comprises everything from oil changes and tire rotations all the way to servicing your brake pads, battery, and wiper blades. All of these are components that wear out and eventually must be tuned or replaced. Replacement can be expensive, so it’s a great idea to get ahead of the trouble with routine preventative maintenance. At Dave’s Auto, our mechanics are also able to fix anything they spot while doing these tasks. We always keep an eye out for problems with the cooling system, alternator, belts, hoses, and even the headlights.

A routine check-up for a Ford includes checking on your car’s air filter, topping off the various fluid levels, and going over everything with diagnostic tools.

So, how often should Ford owners do these sorts of check-ups and diagnostics?

You should always double-check with a trained Ford technician because it varies depending on make and model, but we can give you some ballpark estimates. The vehicles rated Ford KA+ should get full-service work done every 12,500 miles, whereas SUVs like the Ford Edge should do the same about every 18,000 miles. You should get regular-service maintenance done even more frequently. Regular service paired with oil changes should occur every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.

Who should you trust to perform that kind of service on a Ford vehicle?

Dave’s Auto is located in Sarasota, Florida, and is equipped with a full-service center that you can trust to perform all the maintenance tasks we’ve discussed (and more). Our certified technicians go through extensive training to be able to address every major and minor concern under the hood.
